the more i think about it, the more i feel an extreme dislike for the apostle paul.

he was on par with hitler in his treatment of the jews before he "saw the light".

he replaced jesus teachings of love and mercy with a more legalistic, pharisaical concept of devotion to god.. any evil person can come to believe in god and worship him if the scales were literally and miraculously removed from his eyes.

i dunno about disliking any bible guys--but the one i do like is Superman----he can fly--how cool is that !! does it mean he's an angel ?

but poor old batman cant fly--no wonder he looks so miserable.

when i left the watchtower i realised it was best to put friendships on hold.

however i mentioned to my best friend that i didn't agree with how they handled child abuse issues and that was one of the reasons i left.. anyway as i am fortunate and own two rental apartments and he is a plumber so we have kept in contact, in that i email him when i require his services and he sends me the invoice.

anyway i am now dissociated, but yesterday i emailed him about a pluming problem, and he replied.. " sorry we missed going to the indian ( this was a comment made about us having a meal together about 9 months ago, which i backed out of because i felt he was too indoctrinated and i had not disassociated myself) anyway his email continued:-.

go for a meal together---and shut the fuck up !! no religous talk--just be mates again.

listening to clips of the latest manipulative video from the watchtower i realised how much i detest that word - jehovah.. sometimes i have thought it would be interesting to observe a meeting or part of a convention.

every time i heard that word i would be unable to stay in my seat.. i have a visceral reaction every time i hear it.

it stands for so much that i have contempt for.

in any case--hebrew was written backwards

so--YHWH should be pronounced HWHY----which in ameriglish is HUGHIE.

yeah--HUGHIE-GOD sounds better

i used to cringe whenever i heard all those lunatic female dubs talk about jehovah as if he were their own invisible best friend--almost as if he lived in their wardrobe. like their personal spiritual bank manager. barmy old bats.

also--the use of the word jah. a year or so back i was on one of the fake facebook jw dating groups---and the amount of times our dear friends in africa who used the word jah was beyond ridiculous. i cant understand why the wts dont stamp it out.

why dont they just call him joe ?.

i was told at the time he would never be reappointed in any capacity.

yet i heard today he was appointed as an account servant.

) including that jws rely on their religion the most of any group to tell right from wrong and rely on common sense the least.

JW's believe the creative day was not a literal 24 hour period.

if we dont believe god made the creative day a 24 hour period--then why believe in god at all ?

the creative day concept is right there at the beginning of the bible. if its not true--then isnt the rest of the bible also untrue ?
